Would you like to learn UI and UX design? 🎨
I'm currently working on a project to teach more on user interface and user experience design, and I wanted to validate the idea a little more with the community here.
Would learning user interface and user experience design, completely agnostic from any particular program be useful to you?
It would be a combination of articles, resources, video tutorials, and anything else I can think of...
Would love to hear your thoughts!
When I started programming I followed some book from O'Reilly which was guiding the reader through a rather complex project. It taught me a ton of useful things and made me confident in using the knowledge. It was different from other books I'd read because it didn't just give abstract knowledge, but was all about practice first. So I would love that kind of experience in learning UI/UX too.
Understandable, I know I learn far better through actually doing something. So that's definitely something for me to bare in mind. Thanks @grinko!
I think this space has a lot of opportunity as there aren't tons of great resources. I liked Frank's approach of "the book I wish I had when I started" https://shapeofdesignbook.com. I think Refactoring UI and approaching it for non-designers was a super smart idea too https://refactoringui.com.
I think so too, I feel like there are a lot of places for good development resources, but we are severely lacking a single place for design resources.
I'll check out Frank's book! Sounds great. Refactoring UI is similar to a part of my idea, so it's great to see some partial validation through that. Looks like a great resource as well.
