Would you pay $50 for your child to master 12x12 (and down) multiplication?

For $50 dollars per child or adult, I'll do whatever it takes to help that person become fluent with basic multiplication (up to 12x12). That means fluent both in speed and in understanding. If I fail or either side gives up before success, you get your money back. Is anyone interested?

I don't have children (yet). But no, I wouldn't pay $50 for my child to master multiplication.

I'd maybe pay $50 for my child to want to master multiplication and enjoy practicing (and maths in general).

I think that's a good approach to take. Of course, it's harder to measure whether it's been delivered. But many valuable things are difficult to measure.

Oops... you're looking for work. But yeah.. I don't have kids, but they are an investment in the future. More future jobs are going to be better paying in mathematics than anything else, and math is often the child's least favorite subject, so getting them on board to at least understand math is a good sell.

      Thanks for your feedback.

I'm working (slowly) on a larger project around teaching math at brighthike.com. But I thought it would be more interesting to work on it if I had a very narrow focus and real people using the product and driving development. This post gives me feedback on whether one specific direction is something that people care about.

So, yeah, I know this will be money-losing for me compared to contracting. But if it informs product development and lets me do some good then it's interesting.

That's interesting and it makes the pitch more concrete. So you could say something like "in one month". Possibly having a deadline could help some people work a bit harder as well.

Right. It's no good having unbounded liability.
