I'm making this SaaS where you can easily create a landing page. On this landing page your potential customers can leave behind their email. You can then get an overview of these contacts and get in touch with them together with a whole bunch of metrics to go with it.
Next to this you can also experiment with the page and run A/B tests easily to see which text copy, logo or any other change you make works best.
Right now I have a small MVP live at https://betanotify.com any feedback is welcome :)
There are already products that do that sort of thing. I'm not saying that you can't enter an established market. You just need to clearly communicate the unique value you provide. Why should people choose this over those other options?
Disclosure i'm working on a competing project. So feel to not answer any questions.
Won't churn be crazy high?
The pricing will also be very low?
How will you get customers?
Carrd can do this for $19 a year and you can use Google optimize for free.
We have spent 15 months + building a platform and still aren't even close to where we want to be, and only recently hit some sort of PMF.
No problem, competition is good :)
To answer some of your questions:
Thanks for answering :)
Good luck!
If you decide you don't want to build it and rather just create content around it let me know.
This product segment is definitely well educated and people are willing to pay.
Your landing page looks nice and would be awesome to see some examples and case studies :)
I'm also putting up a little project, keen to know what you would A/B test? @maximg
I'm under the impression that this is already a fairly competitive market with some very big players in this space. Even email marketing platforms like ConvertKit offer landing pages built into their software to capture email leads.
However, there is still a tool & service people need and could be made better, especially for specific niches.
And, I think that's the key - you need to figure out a specific niche that your landing page builder will serve better than any other existing player.
I've used multiple landing page builders that also include easy A/B testing, so offerring additional metrics & A/B testing isn't going to be a differentiator.
I manage Google & Facebook Ads on behalf of clients, and the most common reason I use a landing page builder is the client either -- 1. Has a horrible website that doesn't convert, but isn't willing to invest in a new site, or 2. Wants to launch a new lead-gen campaign, but doesn't have the means to build a new page on their existing site.
Just throwing out ideas... but I think there's a possible niche to serve ad agencies specifically for landing pages. There's a lot of landing page builders that serve a single-business really well, but I haven't found one that I love as an agency managing pages for multiple websites. There's reporting features that would be helpful to easily send updates to clients about how that page performs.
That's just one idea... maybe course creators are looking for something different? Or another niche that is building a plenty of landing pages as lead-magnets?
But my first impression of this idea is that YES - there is a need for no-code landing page builders with A/B testing. That's been proven by big brands like Unbounce & Leadpages and all of the email marketing software that offers landing page as part of their service. It seems to me it's a crowded space, so the question is what market niche can you serve better than any of the existing products?
This is great feedback! Thanks a lot for this. I will be revising everything soon and will come up with a more thorough research of the competitor market and pivot where likely.
I really appreciate the time you took to write this up!
