Would you pay for this?

Hi all! Was having a right ol' shower last night, thinking about Kick (my current software project) and realised how much I rely on my competitors when making decisions around product/branding/copy/pricing etc. In my day job, they have an entire department dedicated to this sort of competitive market research.

Would you pay $50 a month for a hand-crafted, easy to consume report on your competitors delivered to your email. Analysis of their landing pages, social media posts, newsletters, pricing etc. I feel like I could build a solution for this, but want to see if anybody finds it useful.

Seems like it could be useful in a super fast paced industry where sites/newsletters etc are changing a lot. For me, I wouldn't pay for it as I know for a fact my "competitors" don't do all that much in a month. Maybe once every 3 months it might be worth it as there would probably be more to analyse. Hope this helps :)

That helped :) You definitely make a good point and something I thought might be an issue.

There was recently a startup featured on IH and PH that offered exactly this - roundup updates on your competitors’ activity online and in social media. Seems like there is a market for it
