Would you pay for this?
I'm creating a solution for something people hate but can't live without: Voicemails.
My MVP (almost ready) allows users to receive voicemails on Telegram (later, facebook messenger) as voice messages.
I'm trying to keep costs down as much as possible. The pricing would be something like this:
$4.99/m for up to 100 minutes of voicemails received;
$6.99/m for up to 200 minutes of voicemails received;
Would you consider to pay for this solution?
I actually just want it all outright deleted and for people to get the idea not to leave me 8 voicemails.
lol. Yeah, sometimes it's like that. I could see this being useful for those doing sales and maybe missed a call while on the other line or preoccupied with something else.
There were times I was living/dying by the phone so I would have appreciated something like this.
I'm creating it out of my own frustration. Every time I'm looking for a job, my voicemail is flooded and impossible to use
Wow. Could this be a regional or national thing? I don't know a single person who uses voicemail. I don't even have mine activated.
It could be. I know as a parent I get voicemails from my kids' schools so I could see it being useful for parents as well.
Yeah those are the only voicemails I regret missing. The rest I never want.
I'm not sure I got the question. I'm considering to start with just a couple of nations in the world but the users will be able to receive voicemails from everywhere.

Google voice does this for me and transcribed the voicemails.
That's going to be your biggest competition.
Honestly, no because people can just leave me a voice message for free so I wouldn't pay.

When you say voicemails, do you mean someone calls me, I don't answer, they leave a voicemail and then it's delivered to Telegram/FB?
** Sidenote:** What about delivering it to slack? (not sure if they have this already)
Yes, correct! It's delivered using a bot.
When the system will be in place, it's just a matter of creating the bots (so it would be possible to do it in slack as well).

Does it automatically delete voicemails already sent to telegram?
Not sure who your target audience is when you say "can't live without voice mail". I, amongst others in this thread have been living in the 21st without VM for years :-). So perhaps this isn't the right forum to ask?
Angelo, I'm afraid this is a solution in search of a problem. It's possible that some people with radically different lives than my own will have such a need, but personally, I can't see its utility.
I would much more prefer a service where you would use a service to transcribe voicemail and to be delivered to you in a text form.
I wish I was popular enough to have this problem in the first place!
Imagine all the spam voicemail you receive in the U.S. from people robo-selling you crap.
I wouldn't, no. My only frustration with voicemail is that the automated voice gives you all of the details before playing the message. "number, zero... seven... nine... four... zero... seven... zero... zero... seven... zero... called yesterday at nine... fifty... seven... AM..." only for the caller to be heard putting the phone down!
I appreciate the ingenuity but honestly I would pay to NOT receive voicemails. I very much live without voicemails. I've kept my inbox full for like 10 years so I never receive any.
When people ask me why they can't leave a voicemail, I tell them "if you want to leave me a voicemail—don't—just text me"
I use Visual Voicemail app from T-mobile that keeps all of your voicemails in the same place + easily accessible +it's free + you can delete them all together. Pretty sure all service providers in the US have similar apps. Honest answer would be that I would prefer to keep voicemails separately from Telegram, Facebook, etc.
The people I know who receive a lot of voicemail are out and about (traveling to site, dealing with suppliers while on site etc.) so they wouldn't be on Telegram/Slack etc. generally anyway. If they're at their computer, they can probably take the call. Just a thought.

Sure—I would pay $5... per year. Like others here, I avoid using VM virtually at all personally—but sometimes people do still leave me VMs.
But workplaces use it plenty. Indeed course, many workplaces already pay for this service (presumably bundled with other phone services). Maybe this would be appealing to certain small business owners.
To be frank with you, Ive received probably less than 30 voicemails over 8 years. A lot of my communication is done via text, email, and DM’s.
And I can’t remember the last time I’ve left a voicemail. I don’t think I’d use your service for the moment. Hope this feedback helps.

I can live without voicemail–I haven't checked it in years. If people really need to get in touch, they'll call back or better yet, text.
