Would you pay to quickly validate your ideas? (Valii)

Hello everyone, new member here. My cofounder and I are building our MVP and we wanted to get feedback from the community on if you'd use our service and why?
https://valii.co/

Description:
We're building a platform that helps startup founders test if their idea is potentially profitable.
Founders communicate with our AI (Valii) about their startup idea, using that information, we create a preorder page and advertise it. Potential customers for the idea can then place a preorder.

More details:
We're almost done with the MVP, aiming for 12th Feb.
For the MVP we are excluding the advertising feature and the AI integration. We are instead simulating the AI experience by asking detailed questions and using it to generate the preorder page. We believe the major feature is the preorder validation.
Finally you only receive the money for your preorders a few days after you launch, to give your customers a bit of time to confirm their satisfaction with your product/service.

I "think" I get it. really need to see a working demo of it because,... dunno, something isn't quite clicking in to place with what the real value is for me as a startup creator.

    1. 1

      Yeah I sort of understand.
The value we want to give founders is making the validation process a lot easier and simpler but we haven't quite gotten it yet.
We need to launch the MVP and get some feedback and how to better solve the problem.

Can I let you know when we launch the MVP? We'd really appreciate the feedback

      1. 1

        yes definitely!!

          Hello steve,
Sadly we decided to pivot as we realised we weren't solving the problem we wanted to.
This is the new idea and mvp.

oh that is a shame - validation is and should be a huge play. whoever creates something we can all use with our biz ideas will be on to a winner.

Perhaps consider you didn't have the model/execution quite right, rather than dismiss it completely.

            1. 2

Yeah so we still do plan to potentially go back to it, we just feel at the moment we aren't the most qualified to do it properly.

We decided we'll revisit it after we've successfully validated an idea or two and made successful startups.

          2. 1

oh glad you will revisit it! ;-) Keep asking for help here when you're ready because I think this is something we'd all like to see work ;-) good luck with the pivots!

I would pay for this. Up to $25 if you can demonstrate that the pre-order page has all of the components it needs to be successful. I'd be willing to pay more if you had case studies up, and could prove results.

Yo! Thanks for the honest feedback, you have no idea how much your response means to us. lol
Can we hit you up when we launch the MVP?

Also, do you mind sharing this page with one more person that might be interested in it? We want to get as much feedback as possible before launch.

      1. 2

Please do hit me up when you launch the mvp! Once I test it, I'll be much more likely to share with a friend. Looking forward!

          Hey alexdw5,
Sadly we decided to pivot as we realised we weren't solving the problem we wanted to. Kinda feel like we let some people down too.

I really like your idea and I guess it would be of use for some people because of the time factor. I dont really enjoy doing the work you would offer and I'm probably not the only one.
    How does/will your AI work?

    1. 1

      Thank you!
Happy to know it would be helpful to you.
What exactly do you want to know about the AI?

      1. 1

        I'm just curious :)
How did you train it and which technology did you use?

        1. 1

Nah we just connected to https://openai.com/ API.
It's pretty good though, you should test it out.

          1. 2

nice thats awesome.. a friend of mine has access to the api and showed it to me, its really good
do you mind sending me a message once you finished your website? would like to see it in action ;)

            1. 1

Thanks so much for this yo!
We definitely will send you a message when we launch the MVP.

Would you b willing share this page with one more person that might be interested in it?

              1. 2

Yeah man, I will share it once the MVP is launched

Being a potential founder; what is exactly in it for me? Do I understand correctly that your are basically offering a preorder page that would take me < 1 hour to build myself? Or is there more in the package?

    1. 1

      Yes you understand correctly.
The core value is that it saves you time and hopefully money while still providing financial validation for your idea.
I guess also being able to do it for multiple ideas.

      1. 1

So. Who exactly will you be competing with? The big pile of existing site-builder platforms like Wix/Carrd etc?

        1. 1

Yes and also product hunt upcoming page.
The major difference is that no one is validating with preorders, which we think is a much stronger indication of interest than email sign ups.

          1. 1

            Books/music/newsletters can already be preordered.
            Whom are you targeting?

            1. 1

Startup founders initially, though we notice the more adept you are at coding the less value it has to you. We're hoping the time factor is attractive enough to those founders (technical).
