Would you rather wait for an opportunity to come along or take a shot in the dark?

I’m a high school student, and for a long time I wanted to focus my life on what made me feel most at ease: math competitions. My life revolved solely around preparing for math exams and hoping that, one day, I could make it to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). However, after four years of trying, I found myself at a crossroads: should I try for one more year, or should I try something completely different and give up on a four-year dream? I chose the second option, and instead of applying for an internship or a research position, I sent an email to dozens of public schools in my country asking if they wanted my help. At the time, out of the nearly 50 I sent, only one responded. One year later, here I am; in addition to this startup, I’ve had the opportunity to teach more than 1,000 low-income students. Here, I’m not just selling a tool for sending emails; I’m selling a bet: one email that can change your life!
