Would you share your idea with someone who can implement it better than you, even without your help?

You need to be more than the idea guy. Fine if you can't code it, but there are tons of work that needs to be done in a startup.

Would I share it? Are the idea validated in a market? What are the TAM of that marked? For most ideas the market is big enough for several players. I am a believer of telling then building. I am creating heibjerg.com, and telling everyone has opened more doors than I have seen copycats.

Thank you very much for your post. I find your experience inspiring. The project I have in mind is about language learning. I have applied to startup accelerators, but without success. I think the idea is good, however it is not validated. The people who have tried it like the idea, but do not fully adopt it, as it is a bit cumbersome to create the conditions without a device specifically designed for it. Initially it was a very ambitious project, which included a language learning platform, and also a headset device specially designed to help you improve your listening skills. Actually, I think it is key to develop the headset, but I have no knowledge of electronic product design. I have thought about contacting a manufacturer with the capability to create this product. But at the same time, I think, what would be my ability to negotiate? Presenting myself as the idea guy doesn't seem a good idea. Possibly yes, my commitment to the project and the willing to make it real.
