Would you use a simple API that texts you when a new customer signs up? 🎉

I recently launched a new product, did some light marketing, and then spent a few days refreshing the database to see if I had any new paying user. This was painful and I just thought of how much better it would be if I just had a very simple api that texted me when I had a new paying user sign up.

EX. A request to https://newuserjoy.com/?number=5555555555

would send you a text saying "🎉Hooray! You have a new customer"

Very simple. What do you guys think?

Would you use this?
  1. Yes 👍🏾

Enable Stripe notifications on your phone. It's the best feeling.

I am using Telegram API to do just that. It is relatively easy to setup just for this very purpose.

you identified a good problem, but the solution needs more thinking. people have built businesses around this concept. an example here https://cashnotify.com/

I would use it. I wouldn't pay for it :)
