These images can then be used for social media, blogs, and more, saving you from having to design from scratch. Would you use an app like this?
The problem you also face is that Canva has a really good free plan which is surfficent for alot of poeple. I myself also use Canva and find that this is perfect , in creating marketing material and finding other designs for reference.
Nah, I don't think there is much room on the market. I wouldn't switch from Canva.
Plus there are so many other tools like Visme, Creatopy, Desygner, etc. Super competitive market with masive marketing budgets.

Plus building just the basic functionality those apps have is a massive undertaking.
Depends on your development speed. For the first days I'll use it somehow after some weeks I might switch to a more complex/combat-ready solution like Canva tbh.
