Would you volunteer your time?
Hello devs. Just wanted to ask if you would volunteer your time to help out NGOs. I recently came up with an idea and went ahead and built it.
The idea is;
1.NGOs can post volunteer development gigs and willing developer(s) would contact them for more info.
2. Developers create profiles and an NGO can decide to reach out via email/linkedin to request help.
I thought it would be a great way for us devs to give back in some way. I am finishing up on the final touches before hosting the platform. I would like to know what you think.
I guess if NGOs are high-profile that would benefit junior devs. Like a way to create portfolio and get testimonials.
How would you monetize it for yourself?
I had junior developers in mind and if NGOs can write them recommendation letters that would be nice too! I don't know yet how it can be monetized though.
