Would you work part-time to earn equity/profit shares for the product you're building?

Financial freedom: When passive income > active income. A concept that is underrated, nevertheless everyone’s hungry for it. You can google how to earn passive income and get a list of 21 ways to earn it in 2021. But we’re all not MBA graduates with a knack for marketing and sell products/services like hotcakes.

I would like to know the opinion of the Dev community if they would be interested to build products in exchange for equity in the startups. The idea is simple: founders who want to build a product/MVP/prototype can post their requirements asking for help. People/teams can bid on their idea and complete the mvp in 3-4 months max. Developers earn equity in the startup and can start bidding on other ideas.

I know no one likes to work for free and most would be scared to waste their time. But the goal here is to earn passive income and with the right due diligence, an intuition that the bidding idea can generate money, hard work, and a bit of luck, can set you up for life with that equity you earn. You may not build that one $100Million dollar product, but you absolutely can build 10 $10Mill dollar products or 20 $5Mill worth products.
