Write your startup and I will give you a marketing idea to try

What is your goal for the next 3 months
I will try and give you marketing idea that you can try out and achieve that goal.
Try answering jobs related questions on Quora. Here's a list - https://www.quora.com/search?q=who is hiring
Try looking for job seekers on Twitter (use keywords + advanced search) and let them know about your service. It's manual but you'll be reaching a targeted audience.
A more long term strategy would be to produce interesting content around remote (though there's already a ton of it online). You can use the skyscraper technique to surpass other content and rank better on Google - https://backlinko.com/skyscraper-technique
Sorry for the long delay, I've started interacting with users on Twitter. Need to do the quora parts.
Hey @abinaya you have an ambitious target and I hope you will reach it!
Couple of things that you can do:
Hope this helps and good luck!
Hi Anita, Sorry for the delay. Finally I'm clearing the notifications from IH :)
Regarding #1: I've included the Testimonials page last week which has some social proof.
Reg #2: That's a lot of manual work, I've been doing that already to an extend.
Reg #3: Will include the lifetime plan and planning to do the PH launch later this year.
It's a logo generator, you start with a branding questionnaire and we tailor our logos to your company persona.
wow - first of all, I love your product, I played with it for a while. I feel like your strongest quality is good design and understanding the psychology behind the logos.
Here are some ideas to increase traffic:
For the retention, it all depends at what point are your leads dropping off.
Hope this will help! Let me know how it goes.
1- Fundmystartups - A growing database of investors to raise your seed round 💰
2- https://fundmystartups.com
3- Get 100 paying customers.
Hey @Ozzy101 cool idea and very good job done on collecting all this info. It is such a valuable dataset - I think everyone is aware of that.
From what I saw on the web page I would suggest you double down in writing more content. For example, you can write about:
One really cool resource on how to approach this is ahrefs academy for blogging for business: https://ahrefs.com/academy/blogging-for-business/
Hope this works. You can find me on twitter @anitakirkovska, if you have any questions.
1- NerdMentors - Connect experienced individuals with those who need professional mentorship to achieve a specific task or advance their career.
2- https://nerdmentors.com.
3- Get 30-40 mentors and 20-30 mentees.
Find the list of top Stackoverflow users - https://stackexchange.com/leagues/1/alltime/stackoverflow and reach out to the ones you want to bring onboard via cold email. Try to make your cold email stand out because it won't be easy to convince these people. Plenty of advice available online on how to write an amazing cold email.
Once you start bringing mentors onboard, you can use their name, reputation and credibility to attract new mentees. The simplest way would be to run a Facebook ads retargeting campaign to target all the people who visited your site in the last 365 days and you'll easily be able to convert over 30 mentees.
Great idea, I was thinking of doing something like this but I didn't know that StackOverflow has a list of its top users, thank you so much Pallav.
Welcome! :) In case you'd be interested, I've created a Library of Growth Marketing Strategies, you might find more fresh ideas there - https://academy.pallav.io/marketing-strategies/
It looks great, I'll definitely go through it in details, thanks for sharing.
hey! @pallav that is a great idea! @yousefjoe you have the challenge of a 2 sided marketplace, where you need to attract both mentees and mentors. I would close the search bar for now, and will start to build a portfolio out of at least 20 mentors. While the platform is closed, I will open a waitlist and share "content hooks" like types of problems that mentors usually solve. You can promote these solutions as creatives on different channels, like twitter/linkedin/fb ads etc, and you can build your waiting list. While you are building your waiting list you can send relevant info to your subscribers and ask for what are their needs so you can use that to improve the platform before you officially launch. Then, launch your platform on Product Hunt and get some new leads. Start from there.. and then you will learn from your new users and build on top of that. Hope this helps!
Thank you very much @anita_kirkovska for taking the time to check NerdMentors, you have given me some great ideas, thank you!
@yousefjoe how is it going pal? Did you end up trying something? .. Let me know.
Hey @anita_kirkovska ,Thank you for for asking, we were able to have 10 programs and 1 student so far. but we are not actively reaching out to students as as you've suggested, we are trying to get a good base of mentors first. how has it been going on your side?
Going great, still trying to give proper answer to all who commented on this thread. :D
@anita_kirkovska The #2 you mentioned is an excellent one. There's a lot to be learnt from successful community builders and video interviews would be great.
I also think that because it's a niche community you're targeting, an effective way to reach them would be through your existing subscribers aka referrals. Not sure if Substack provides an option for it but you should definitely try some kind of referral program. Maybe something like The Hustle... https://viral-loops.com/blog/hustles-milestone-referral-program-earned-300k-fanatics/
You can also look at Noah Kagan's emails, he has implemented a referral program using Sendfox. More info in #3 here... https://blog.sendfox.com/sendfox-feature-updates-june-2020/
wowowo the community queen herself!🤯 I checked your twitter and webpage, love the content!
Some ideas:
Hope this helps. You are already doing amazing job, we have so much to learn from you. 💜
Thank you, appreciate it 💜
Thank you so much for offering to help!
I would use this @lululi! I checked your app and I saw that you show the pricing after I fill the form. If people are leaving the cart at that point, show them another pop up that will say: "We don't want to see you go" and offer them something. You can offer them a free call with someone from your team, or a discounted price for the first month/3 months.
Other thing you may try are:
Hope this helps!
Hey! Thank you so much for your reply! This is great, I'll give it a try :)
hey @mxmzb I feel like this is one of those ideas where it does really make sense, but I feel people are not so generous with their money - even if it comes down to their health and wellbeing.
some things that you may try:
Hope these ideas are useful - I would love to hear more about your product. You can find me on twitter: @anitakirkovska
Scrapingdog- Web Scraping API - scrapingdog.com
Cool - I finally found the time to respond.
Some ideas:
Love this initiative @AnitaK. Looks like you have lots of responses...but if you have time I'd love to hear what you think for Startup Sanctuary:

Anita, thanks for this opportunity!
1,) Double Edge - The everything exchange

3.) Getting early adopters/ beta users
This is a crypto-related product so your best bet would be to join different forums, communities, groups related to crypto and answer people's questions. Share your knowledge, advice and experience related to crypto with other people and leave a byline about your product.
You can also reach out to micro-influencers in crypto community and strike some kinda partnership so they tweet/share about your product.
As far as your website is concerned, I have 2 suggestions...
Move the benefits section from your About Us page to your homepage, right below the message "No account needed!..."
Improve the copy of your popup. Right now it says "Want to have "an edge" on the markets? If yes, sign up now !" which seems vague to me. Maybe your target audience understood but I didn't. Try to make it specific and benefit-oriented.
Hope this helps. :)
Awesome feedback, many thanks for taking the time to put so much thought and depth into it. I´ll figure out a way to implement your suggestions!
Interesting product and very ambitious targets. Here are a few suggestions...
Your messaging above the fold can be improved. Simplify it. Maybe something like "Connect with people feeling the same as you right now." or "Track your mood and connect with others feeling the same."
A component of your product is about connecting with others so you should have a referral system baked in the product (when you launch) and you should expose users to this referral system early on in their product usage lifecycle. Incentivize them to bring in their friends and allow them to share their mood on social media.
Since you're at the pre-launch stage, you can also implement a referral program right now. Try what Harry's did which got them 100k sign ups within the first week - https://viral-loops.com/blog/harrys-gathered-100k-emails-single-week-milestone-referral-program/
You can also implement a notification system on your landing page which shows frequent notifications about how many people have signed up to get early access to your product. This strategy uses the bandwagon effect to improve conversions. More info here - https://academy.pallav.io/marketing-strategies/activation/frequent-social-proof-notifications-increase-website-conversions/
All the best!
Awesome feedback. Really helpful. Thank you very much!
Nice product! A couple of pointers about your landing page...
Reading your landing page I couldn't understand how shall you gather my data? Will I need to install a mobile app, desktop app, chrome extension, something else? Once you make this clear, you can specify security-related info around it to alleviate user concerns.
I'm confused if your product is already live or if this is a pre-launch landing page. If the product is live, I didn't see anything about pricing. If it is a pre-launch page, that should be specified prominently.
Throughout the landing page, you've explained what the product does but you haven't explained how it will help the users. My feeling is that you can do a much better job of communicating the benefits of your product and make the landing page more exciting.
Since you're working on a B2C model, here are some ways to find beta users:
Answer questions on Quora about how to manage personal finances and increase savings. After explaining different ways, you can suggest your product as an effortless tool that can automate at least one part of managing their personal finance i.e. budgeting and autopayments. Also, start a new Quora space and regularly publish interesting content around the same topic.
Find new communities, groups and forums related to personal finance and start engaging there. Help people. Answer their questions and when the right opportunity arrives, also plug in your product and explain how it can benefit community members.
You can also do a commercial partnership with the admins of personal finance-related communities so they share/promote your product in the community. Consider speaking to @rosiesherry for advice, she is an expert community builder.
Follow the social media profiles of Personal Finance influencers like Ramit Sethi and keep a close eye on people who respond to their posts. If a person looks like a good fit for your product, send them a direct message on the platform introducing your product.
Hope this helps. All the best!
This is some great advice, thank you.

Reach more potential customers and grow sales
1 - autoapi; No code REST API automation platform
2 - https://autoapi-737fc.web.app/
3 - Acquire 25 paying customers
1.SydRoNails: Nail salon booking platform (SaaS)
2.https://www.sydronails.ca/
3.Have a few salons use the platform and provide us feedback
A quick suggestion for your homepage... I usually always follow the philosophy of "Show, Don't Tell", you can too. You have product demo videos on your FB page, consider using them on your homepage. Your potential customers will be able to see what your product does instead of reading through too much text.
To find salons who can provide feedback, pick up the phone and call every local salon you have in your area. Convince their owners to give your product a shot. This is possibly the cheapest and fastest way to find your first few customers.
All the best!
Interesting product! I liked the homepage too. Just a minor suggestion for your headline... instead of saying "Cards For Teams", try "Celebratory Cards For Teams".
To find more customers, try this...
Monitor the LinkedIn pages of different companies and whenever they share any happy news (say x customer/revenue milestone, getting featured in press, etc) create a Teamo card for the occasion and email it to the HR of the company. An email like this...
Hello Nancy,
Congratulations on <company name> getting featured in Forbes. Your marketing team must be thrilled. Here's something for them...
[Attach the Teamo card]
If you liked this card, feel free to check out Teamo where you can create celebratory cards for every occasion. <link to your website>
Thanks,
XYZ
You get the drift. By sending this type of email you're not only congratulating them on the good news, but you're also showing a live demo of your product.
If you want to step into the grey area, you can send an unsolicited email to everyone in a company by emailing at all@companyname.com (usually every company has an active email id like this.)
Hope this helps. All the best!
Thank you - that's a great idea!

I was just lurking here, didn't want to post but then I saw your description 'Growth engineer, maker and #NoCode Advocate'. Well, Boomla is a young platform that was designed to mix code with nocode. I hope it will be increasingly more relevant for you. ;)
That's ambitious! I'm providing a free website builder and giving away free stuff seems harder than I expected! Curious how it goes, following you. :)
Anita, what a great idea. Even just figuring out what to write in response to those questions is a great marketing exercise for founders!
Hello,
Thank you for the offer.
Thanks again.
Hi Anita! Thanks for the helping the community! 🤩
Thanks in advance! Looking forward towards your response.
Does it matters that is in spanish? :p
Just launched the landing page / web version last week, iOS app has been out for a while though and organically getting a few signups each day through the app store search. Finally trying to grow it :)

Hello Anita, thanks for doing this. Would love to hear what you would recommend
1.AdInterestPro reveals 1000s of hidden Facebook interests that Facebook keeps secret
2.https://www.adinterestpro.com/
For startups & personal use.
Interesting idea Bobby! I follow one Instagramer that shows his daily life as a doctor and I've learned a lot about diseases, diets and healthy life style, so this is definitely something that I would follow and read.
Since you are just starting out, I think you need to focus on finding your target audience and your channel. I would suggest you start testing things without engaging to one channel/activity fully.
Some things you can do:
Is this helpful? Hope that it is. Let me know if you have questions.
Do you have any communities that I could possibly use? I'm unsure on how to use twitter to engage people
This is great advice! I will definitely use it and keep you updated!
I'm a growth guy so it'll be fun to hear an outside perspective!
Hey man, not related, just wanted to let you know that I liked the idea of Fifty as a way to promote my app but I ended up unsubscribing from the emails as they got way too frequent (a new email for every tiny change). I also find the site hard to navigate (no real focus, don't know where to look, I would rather have the main app featured in the center and the rest put aside). The rank-reset each week is also a bit weird imo.
I am not complaining, just wanted to share my experience, feedback is never bad 😊

Quite a technical product for a very niche audience. Maybe try these two methods...
In the short term, use Linkedin to find professionals with job roles related to machine learning. Find their work email using a service like https://hunter.io/email-finder and reach out to them via cold email, explaining how your product can save them time/effort/money. Since you're giving them a free trial, you should see high conversions from your cold emails.
In the long run, produce content (articles, videos, ppt, etc) related to ML and share it in forums, communities and groups related to machine learning. I'm not aware of how much content is generated by the ML community so if there's a dearth, you can do well by producing high-quality content.
On a side note, consider adding a favicon for your website.
Hope this helps. All the best!
