Writing a book, looking for entrepreneurs to interview!

Hi everyone!

I'm currently in the process of writing a book that explores the stories of entrepreneurs from all different walks of life and key lessons and failures they experienced along their journeys.

You can think of it as Humans of New York but specifically with entrepreneurs...Humans of Entrepreneurship!

My thesis of the book is essentially that the entrepreneurial journey is inextricably tied to the journey of self-exploration, self-improvement and deep truths about the human condition. I want to highlight that the reason why most startups fail boils down to inconvenient truths about human nature, specifically as it relates to our egos and often times lack of self-awareness, and provide a toolkit to empower aspiring entrepreneurs on key psychological pitfalls to avoid as well as powerful principles to follow.

I'm super inspired by everyone in this community and I would love to interview anyone who has gone through the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship or just recently embarked on it. Please comment below if you're interested and we can set up a time to chat :)

You summed it up perfectly. The journey of founding my startup has been mostly about self discovery. I shared quite a lot of my story by posting here on indiehackers actually. See here

    Would love to be interviewed.

Really interesting project! Best of luck with it, and enjoy!
I can share my journey with you if you want :)

I've "failed" much more than I've "succeeded", some quickly and some painfully slow. I've learned a lot about my own limitations, strengths, weaknesses, and that my venture mortality rate ultimately boils down to my own mistakes (e.g. failing to realize that I couldn't do it alone).

I love building products and solving a need so I know that I won't be quitting anytime soon. My only goal is to learn from the past and keep moving forward.

If any of that resonates with your idea for the book, I'd be happy to share more of my story.

Hi! This sounds very interesting, and I'm very much in tune with the same topics related to psychological pitfalls/ego.

How can I get in touch with you?

    sounds interesting!

"why most startups fail boils down to inconvenient truths about human nature, specifically as it relates to our egos and often times lack of self-awareness" --> how do you know this is true?

is everyone here qualified to be interviewed (ex. pre-revenue)?
