Writing on Quora non-stop for 3 months and stopped for 6 months since Jan 2020, this is what I learned from the dashboard

Why did I start? I'm super weak in copywriting! But last year I started a #sidehustle and decided to contribute to Quora

  • Challenge my domain knowledge
  • Practice my writing and learn how people write
  • Drive traffic and get feedback for my side project

😯 A few days back I saw

  • 10.6 k views in the last 3 months from all the answers combined
  • Converted 5.27% of the total downloads of my side project

✍️ So I backward-analyzed my habit and achievements

  • Spend 15 minutes on each topic
  • Answer 3-5 questions every day
  • Only answer why X, how Y and what is Z
  • Select questions related to presentation designs
  • Connect people who are also interested in the same subject
  • It took me 2 months to appear on the most popular writers under 2 themes: Pitch Decks & Venture and Investor Pitches (I'm still on the leaderboard :p)

👨‍💻 What next?

  • Reactivate my Quora routine (Maybe weekly)
  • Spend more time on each question
  • Pursue quality instead of quantity

Nice one, Felix. I also reactivated my quora account. Tried to write 2 answers a day about crypto currency, blockchain or fintech topics. Competition is insane on the major questions. It´s not so easy to find some that trigger interest and gain more popularity. Got 18.6K views in the last 30 days, 4.6K on the last 7 days. The leader of crypto answers has 54M views, long way to go haha
Anyway, whoever reads this. I really recommend quora to spread your name and services

Woah congrats @JohnDE - that's awesome! Although I'm not in your industry I keen to read your answers. Can you share your Quora profile, please?

Thanks. I failed to mention that I did some other related topics too, but just few. Here is my profile: https://www.quora.com/profile/Werner-Hochleitner

So you got 500 downloads from Quora? How do you track traffic from there and know that for sure?

@iamarsenibragimov I use Gumroad for my downloadable content. There’s an event tag “purchased” where you can track on Google Analytics, I also double confirmed in the payment record on Gumroad
