YakWP is a WordPress plugin that puts an AI chatbot on your site without adding a monthly SaaS fee. Install it on your own hosting, connect any provider key — Google Gemini (free tier), OpenAI, OpenCode Go, or OpenRouter — and it answers visitors from your actual posts, pages, and products via RAG and semantic search.
The free tier is the full product, not a trial: four chat modes (Sales, Support, Explain, Custom prompt), lead capture, webhook export to n8n/Zapier/Make, and all data stored in your own WordPress database. On WooCommerce it's product-aware and quotes real prices, SKUs, and categories.
Pro adds white-label and CSV export as a separate paid download — €2.99/month, €29.90/year, or €64 lifetime. Released July 2026, currently v2.5.0. Self-hosted, so a site on Gemini's free tier can run it at $0.
Built solo from Serbia. Open to feedback
The free tier is unusually complete, so the interesting question seems to be what actually creates the upgrade. Have users been asking for white-label/CSV specifically, or was that Pro boundary set before you had enough usage data to see where willingness to pay sits?
The free download lives on the YakWP site — search "YakWP WordPress AI chatbot" and it's the first result. Requires WP 6.0+ (tested to 7.0), PHP 7.4+.
