Apologies in advance if I'm either posting a duplicate or in the wrong spot. I'm blind, so this type of thing happens at times when it's all audio. If there's a better forum for this, please let me know, because I'm currently unaware of it. :)
Anyway, gust fyi... YC's Start Up School is starting on the 20th, and I guess if you want to get funded by YC, going through this school is definitely helpful during their selection process.
As far as I'm aware, it's totally firee. At least I haven't been asked for a credit card yet. Starts on the 20th, register now: https://www.startupschool.org/

I highly recommend everyone join! I did the last batch (and got the 15k grant). Doing it again this batch :)
Actually, anyone else already registered? I'm in, and honestly, moreless with hopes of networking. Hopefully I'll learn a bunch of new things though.
We should band together, start some covert Indie Hackers operation, and kick everyone's ass in the start up school, haha.
haha down. Also in.
I will be joining this batch. Excited to meet @mdizak
Yes its free. I joined a few years back but didn't complete because of the timezones.
They claimed they made an effort to group similar timezones together (kind of did), but our mentor was in US which made the group sessions very hard work and the timezone grouping became pointless.
While I am sure it a source of dealflow for them, would expect that only 0.1% step up into the main program and majority of main program came from elsewhere.
But good luck, make the most of it and see where it takes you. The learning is of value even if you never reach YC proper.
Thanks for the reminder, January is flying by and I'd almost forgotten about the sign up date. I'm in!
Thanks a lot @mdizak I appreciate it. I will apply today.
It's 100% Free and it's an awesome Program.
Each lecture delivers lot of value, for me, it was a wake-up call about the definition of an MVP.
Weekly Group session also deliver a lot after week 2 or 3 (the first week was kind of weird) and help you define better and test your pitch.
If you're good and have MVP ready, you might even get your first customer there :)
Yup. I've registered and looking forward to it. I'm hoping it'll be the kick-in-the-ass that I need to launch soon. Plus it's good practice for me in networking (because I suck at it).
What is your side project about?
I've registered and yes it's totally free. I love the group sessions we do every week. They're great practice for talking about your project with other people.
