Yeah, I know, it's a competitive niche... but well, I did some validation and can't resist building it!

I know that many folks say that it's "just another landing page builder", but at the same time, I'm pretty confident, that I will be able to cut through the noise and will find some customers for it: https://chameleonpages.com - have MVP almost ready, but not published yet.

Building in a competitive space is not always bad thing. The idea is already validated so that saves you a lot of work. The task then becomes finding the target users which is where specificity might help.
Is it possible to niche down further? For example, a landing page builder for Personal Fitness trainers (an idea I've actually thought about recently).

Exactly, this is a point. There are several verticals on how you can niche down right? It could be from a features perspective or customers. In my case, I'm trying to keep a wide audience, but niching down on the approach to how people build landing pages.

I agree with the fact that building in a big competitive market isnt always bad. But you are going to either have to niche it down or have very very smart ways to make it grow!
I would advise trying to niche it down to make it specific for one small market, once you do that you can do the same on multipel small markets. When your big enough, you can go for the big fish
