Amazon for services: a single platform where anyone - Saas, Indiehacker, startups, consultants or even a freelancer can post their services. And people can search by category - the services of their need, compare them & buy/subscribe by directly getting in touch with them.
Its a very rough idea in my mind right now.Would love any feedbacks.
Two sided marketplaces are hard to bootstrap, doing it for "anyone" makes it even harder for people to know if it's the right place for them.
If you're gonna do a marketplace, I would focus on getting VERY specific with one core vertical that you have an advantage serving (ideally one where you have advantages on both sides of the marketplace) and once you have success with one, expand to more.

My problem: I practice bodybuilding every day or so (I'm an amateur) and for each day my personal trainer give me the right amount of carbs, proteins and fat to eat for every meal (up to 5). Currently I write these information on a sheet of paper so I'd like to use a mobile app instead where:

The problem:
I have a lot subscriptions to newsletters and I want to read them offline
The newsletter contains links to articles and I don't want to open them in a browser because I'm offline :)
My vision of the idea.
Build a service or app that can "converting a newsletter to .pdf file"
A user can forward the newsletter to the service, then the service grab all articles links and convert the articles to .pdf file and send back to the user.
What do you think? Do you want this service?

I'm not the audience for something like this - I don't consume newsletters with lots of links, and when stuff goes into my "read this later" folder I basically never get to it.
BUT I'd start by thinking about specific groups of people who do this a lot, and have a specific incentive to dig through that backlog and to have it all preserved forever. I could see analysts or researchers, for one example, but I'd need to do more research!

Job Board for physicians who try to find a job other than being a doctor
This is super interesting and I have a personal connection: my dad was a doctor (self employed, private practice) for 25 years, then slowly turned a side business doing custom carpentry into a new line of work that he did until he retired!
I have also worked with a lot of folks doing upskilling and career transition work throughout my career. I've never seen this focused on physicians, but it makes total sense. Do you have a sense of why physicians are looking to get out of doctor jobs, or what kinds of jobs they might be well suited for using the skills they already have?
I might back up a bit from a job board and start even more targeted, e.g. some sort of resource that helps physicians learn where their skills could be transferable and maybe even provide training to fill in the gaps.
I'm a physician (radiologist) myself and I have tons of MD friends (including my girlfriend) you don't want to work as a doctor (anymore). Healthcare is changing and it's becoming less and less attractive to work as a doctor (at least in germany). Salaries are not what they used to be, the working hours with night shifts and such are brutal and the work environment in most hospitals is a joke compared to what "normal companies" are providing for their employees.
And many MDs realize that their knowledge can be leveraged elsewhere. I know MDs who went into big pharma, classical strategy consulting or public health. But the whole information and job landscape is really fragmented (at least in germany). There is no central information hub for physicians who want to work outside of hospitals or private practices.
Although I'm currently happy as a physician, I'm always curious to hear stories of MDs who don't go down the classical "doctor-path".
Maybe there is also a market for something like indiehackers did in the beginning. Starting a blog with interviews of MDs who transitioned out of the hospital/private practice path. That would be at least a fun way to start, gather information and contacts and to build somewhat of an audience :)
I even thought about something like a conscierge service as an MVP where I help MDs find a job outside a hospital that suits their interests and skills.
That sounds like a GREAT way to build an audience who'd actually want and use the job board, and you may likely even discover other things that are even more valuable than a job board along the way!

Yeah a job board was only one idea. It's more a whole problem space I might explore. I especially like the idea because its an excuse to learn and to meet new people, both things that are invaluable to me.
This might gonna be my project for 2021.

ShowQase: Linktree public content aggregation + MightyNetworks rebranding + Patreon monetization (if desired)
Problem: there's no unified place for freelancers/consultants, content creators or other digital first individuals to break down the silos of their digital footprint and manage the flow of their interactions.
Solution: A platform consisting of groups, profiles & content pages, all customizable, with different content types for different user groups. There's also a QR for each page & profile for sharing at events and over Zoom calls.
It also allows for various self-organization around rebranded versions of the platform, so that different groups can be formed for custom interactions but the individual still retains ownership of their profile and content..
Alex, this may actually be quite relevant to you, as I know Indie Hall is a community of freelancers that I imagine want to manage their own profiles, but you would also want to promote and drive business for in your own group showcase.
I actually already have most of the product (cannibalized from a failed project) and am now about to do customer discovery and development for this new iteration.
I'll be totally honest, I've gotten pitches for things like this over the years but its never made sense to me. People usually want to own their digital footprint, and when I put myself in their shoes I want the same thing.

The profile is the first class citizen but groups allow individuals to organize themselves within their relevant communities for further discovery. That's a good question, and that's why I made this product! I've never done this before. I'll learn!

Seems like a nice way to put some happiness into the world! In my coworking community we have a channel called "Brightside" where people post the things they see on the internet that make them smile. It's a nice place to go when you're feeling bummed out.

Someone is working on an IH Enhancement Suite where you can block keywords like “post your” and it will hide those posts from your feed. Can’t recall who.
Yep, I built exactly this! It works great for blocking keywords and people whose posts I find obnoxious :)
