Yesterday I launched my first ever product on Twitter!

Finally, I managed to finish one of my projects:)
When I started developing Blinqo - a chrome extension that lets you blur any sensitive data on the page, I promised myself to ship it at all costs, because at that moment I was tired of constantly abandoning and losing interests to the projects.

It's a matter of principle whether I can or can't make a final product.

Like many of us indie hackers I had a delusion "ship it and they will come", so I shipped and they didn't come 😅. What a surprise, huh?
Yesterday I made a tweet to my 10-person audience and obviously I didn't expect much attention to the launch, so only about 9 people visited my website, which is a good result for me.

Tomorrow I'll start posting on Reddit and hope I won't be banned😁
Also, I plan to launch on ProductHunt

As for the experiment, I will try posting on dev.to and Linkedin...because why not? At the end of the day it's hit or miss, so I should try all possible channels to promote my chrome extension.

In a conclusion, I would like to say please, don't ship to the void. Have a minimal marketing plan or SEO strategy. In my example, you can see that shipping a product without an audience (at least an email list) and marketing plan is a BAD idea. No one will come, no one will buy your ✨awesome✨ product just because it's full of features or has a cool design. Have a plan, and be serious about your business.

First of all congrats to you. :)

I would suggest like other marketing channels, you should also launch this product n Gumroad and then sell it via Twitter. The reason for this is that Twitter's Audience loves Gumroad product and finds them easy to grab.

Also by providing value on Twitter you can build loyal fans and a community that will help you grow.

If really don't have time for Twitter growth and posting value tweets then I suggest you try Zlappo Twitter Automation and Growth Tool - 60days Trial

With Zlappo, you can even add value to Twitter while, Traveling, Shopping, During office hrs, and during busy schedules, as they have an Android app.

And Selling via Gumraod is very easy. You need not have to worry about the payments and other stuff as it is taken care of by Gumraod.

Hope this will help you grow and bring more downloads to your Chrome extension and more copies of your product.

    All the best mate.

Cool, thanks, but unfortunately Gumroad isn't available in my country
P.S it seems like the link in your comment is broken or it's just some problems on my side

Thanks, I corrected the link. If still, you face an issue then here is a link: Zlappo If Gumroad is not available then you can create a simple landing page via LinkTree or Carrd and put that link in your tweets profile bio and so on. But don't over-promote first add relevant value > Build Trust and you are good to go. Also, post weekly Threads on many different Chrome extensions like " 5 chrome extensions for......." and then at the end pitch your Chrome extension.
