You don’t need a $30/mo client OS to send a clean invoice.

You don’t need a $30/mo client OS to send a clean invoice.

If you mainly need unlimited branded PDFs, that’s a focused tool problem — not a suite problem.

InvoiceSnap (invoicesnap.ca) is what I built for that:
Free = 1 watermarked preview (no logo) · Pro $4.99/mo unlimited branded · Business $9.99/mo when email-to-client + Projects & Time matter.

Honest Free on purpose. Not contracts/CRM/pay-now claims — just fewer days stuck in “I’ll invoice later.”

    Clean send flow matters, but I’ve found the harder stall often starts after the PDF is out: opening the thread again and deciding what to do next. I’m testing a small Notion + printable recovery path for ADHD/ADHD-ish freelancers and solopreneurs: free 20-minute observed session, with a sample overdue provided (fake client, amount, dates—no real invoice needed). Silent watch: enter sample → get next action → see a chase message. Free access, not a sales call. Reply if useful.

      That after-the-PDF stall is real - the invoice leaving is only half the loop. Observed next-action paths sound useful for freelancers who freeze on chase. Appreciate you sharing the experiment.

        Thanks Cameron — chase/decide-next is where a lot of people freeze after a clean send. If you ever want a look at the observed path, I’m still booking free 20-min sessions with a sample overdue (fake client/amount/dates). No sales call — reply here if useful.

          Appreciate it — will keep chase/next-action in mind. Good luck with the sessions.

    This is useful. How are you finding your first users so far?

      Mostly organic so far - maker/community conversations and warm inbound from freelancers and small teams. Trying to learn from real workflows rather than chase raw signup volume.

    Focused tools beating suites is a trend I hope keeps going. I priced my own product as a one-time purchase for exactly this reason — the resentment around adding another monthly line item is real, and it makes the value conversation simpler: pay once, done. Curious whether you considered a one-time tier at all, or whether recurring just fits invoicing (predictable usage, ongoing hosting) better for you.

      Recurring fits invoicing better for us - usage repeats and hosting/PDF generation stay on, so a small monthly Pro ($4.99) or Business ($9.99) keeps the boundary honest without pretending a one-time buy covers ongoing send+hosting.

      If you're testing this week: free account at https://app.invoicesnap.ca - try one real client invoice. That's the signal that matters more than feature lists. Ping me if something blocks you.

    Really solid approach — I'm juggling something similar myself (building Xstream4K on the side), what's been the hardest part for you so far?
