"You never know where hacking on random projects might lead you" + when you have an audience

Without an audience, a random project is just building in the dark.

"Made for money" or "made for fun" used to be the dividing line between Indie Hackers and Product Hunt. But I think @levelsio is right and the fun leads to money sometimes.

I see a lot of these posts are shared by you on behalf of others like Marc Lou and Pieter, further growing their audience, where they already have one. Maybe you might consider widening the pool, and hunting smaller people and their wins and pushing them out? Ctrl+f on home page rn shows 3 mentions of Pieter and 4 of Mark Lou.

In a world of Twitters, be like Bluesky.
