I worked with travel tech for an early-stage company for a bit. A few things that worked for us:

    • Repurpose content and publish it everywhere
The main goal, in the beginning, is to put your name out there, so make sure you're making the most of the content you're creating (I suggest checking Neville Medhora's strategy)

    • Get customers from public groups
1: Look for groups where your ideal customers might be
2: Create a survey with questions about the problem your customers have
3: Create new remarketing lists on Facebook or Google ads
4: Shows them ads with the solution to the problem they had in the survey

    • Turn your first enthusiasts into a community and gamify it with quests on Zealy
It's a great way to turn your first members into advocates and spread your word while rewarding your first users with gamification strategies

PLUS: Here's an AI prompt for creating a growth hack strategy

"Create a growth hacking strategy for #businessname, a business type based in #location, utilizing unconventional tactics to generate rapid growth and increase brand awareness for #product/service targeting #targetaudience ."

      Thanks this is good!

When you say publish it everywhere, what do you mean? I have looked at Medium + publications so far (as well as internally of course but that will take longer).

We've also connected with hotels in the alps, building out digital maps for their clients to be able to spread the name around. I.e. have their clients navigate hiking routes using our own domain (with display advertising at the top). This is slightly working but it is very slow, we would have to find ways to find more hotels and more users.

We've also had the thought of hiking up to refugios and huts in the alps and asking if they need help with a website or whatnot in return for some display advertising. I can't do this though until late September when I'm back there.

Then there is the option of reaching out to partners but we're waiting on this until I can actually say we have something useful for them.

As for the public groups, also waiting around a bit trying to build karma for the social profiles before but maybe we're just overly cautious.

The entire work is incredibly slow and I'm just wondering if we have more stones to turn here.
