Your brain needs rest and training to operate effectively.
A well-rested brain is sharp and quick.
A tired brain is slow and dull.
Use this weekend to restore and recharge. Even superheroes need rest!
PS. What is your favorite way to restore and recharge?
That's true, I often hear that from business partners.
It's important to take breaks to think about something else.
The brain needs rest to process what it has collected. If you're stuck on a particular problem, take a break or work on it the next day after you've had a good night's sleep.
That's what I do when I get stuck with a complex task.
I hope it helps.
It’s amazing how a fresh mind after a break or a good night’s sleep can untangle even the most complex problems. Really appreciate you sharing this reminder :)
For the majority of people "vibe coding" nowadays.
They'll learn the hard lesson that "if you don't use it, you lose it".
When it comes to their skills and muscle memory.
Muscle memory fades fast when it's not reinforced. :)
Exactly so.
Our brain is like muscle so the principles that works on muscles also works on brain - progressive overload when training, active deloading after hard training.
I personally talk a walk outside and intentionally make a coding-free day. For me programming is both addictively fun but stressful at the same time, so I made a day off
Totally relate to coding being both fun and mentally taxing. Taking that intentional day off is such a healthy habit haha
I’ve always struggled with the whole “rest and recharge” thing , feels like my brain doesn’t switch off even when I’m trying to relax.
That said, nothing resets me more than a long walk without my phone. No music, no podcasts. Just space to think.
Might actually try a proper digital detox this weekend , haven’t done that in a while.
sometimes the hardest part is giving your mind permission to rest. It’s wild how much clarity comes from just being present with your thoughts. Hope the digital detox goes well, you’ve earned it!
