Hey IH 👋
I’m Julien, founder of Linkeme — an AI-powered SaaS that helps solo founders and small teams publish content consistently across social media.
We automate ideation, writing, visuals, and scheduling.
On paper, it’s a no-brainer.
In reality? That’s not the main battle.
I used to think:
“We need to stand out from the competition.”
But more and more, I realize:
We’re not losing users to another product — we’re losing them to inertia.
The real competitor is:
Doing nothing
Posting “when I get time”
Leaving the social tab empty
Waiting for inspiration
Procrastinating on “doing it right”
And it’s tough because doing nothing feels safe.
There’s no failed experiment.
No brand mistake.
No scary “Post” button.
So I stopped focusing on feature wars.
And I started focusing on friction:
How do I lower the activation threshold?
How do I show value before effort?
How do I avoid overwhelming people who already feel behind?
I’ve learned this:
People don’t choose the “best” tool.
They choose the least emotionally costly option.
That’s why inertia wins.
And that’s what I have to beat every day.
Are you also fighting user inertia more than actual competitors?
What did you change in your product or copy to help users move?
Let’s trade ideas.
Julien
Love the mindset shift...
Completely agree, I always tell my team it's better to have complaints than hear nothing at all. Complaints you can fix :-)
Looks awesome — tackling the content pipeline end-to-end is smart. Huge potential here, congrats on the momentum!
This looks really impressive! Automating the entire workflow from idea to publishing is a huge time saver. I agree that manual posting and using agencies can be very inefficient, so Linkeme seems like a much-needed solution. Congrats on your progress so far and wishing you even more growth!
This is such a relatable post, Julien! I totally get what you mean about inertia being the real competitor. It's not about other products; it's about the comfort of "doing nothing."
Your pivot from feature wars to reducing friction is brilliant. I'm facing the same challenge. What's been your most effective change in Linkeme or your messaging to get people past that initial hurdle?
For me, it's about showing tiny wins really fast.
Thanks for sharing, this is super insightful!
