Your feelings about accountability sprints

So, the other day a friend of mine was stressing about finishing a presentation and I was moaning about typing up a strategy doc for a client. He then suggested we focus for the next 45 mins on these tasks and then report back. Like a show and tell.
I’ve never turned something around so fast, it was amazing. Something about knowing you will be checked on in the next few minutes.

What do you think of accountability sprints? Would it help you?
Especially working for yourself, having no boss or people to answer to is bloody amazing but it does bring a certain casualness to how you work....

I think having a mentor you have lunch or coffee once a month with, will help you to get more accomplished.

Totally agree, this is more from a ‘brothers in arms’ point of view.
Two people commit to a time block to get something done and then show at the end.
Sort of like a gym buddy
Mentors are great too, but for sprint work the meetings are two far apart
