Such a great idea. Definitely worth looking into. Would have been great if the trail is more than 7 days.

I'd be happy to extend it for you, just reply to your welcome email if you sign up!

Interesting. Do you allow to do keywor research or are you also doing some more advanced semantic/AI-based search using synonyms/etc?

I found success with Reddit using DMs (not the most white-hat tool I know lol) using tools like Howitzer (if you know any alternatives, let me know). And now I'm finding DMs are pretty amazing for market research as well (the response rate can be anywhere from 10-20% if you ask the question in the right way).

Anyway, this looks like a really cool tool and would love to see some case studies on how other founders are using it.

Right now it's keyword based, but "smarter" matching is coming this year!

Yeah the DMs are a fantastic strategy. I typically DM if I can't get a Reddit comment in time to get the top spot (typically after 24hrs I go for DM). I don't intend to do bulk DMs or automated comments as I want to stay on Reddit's good side, but aim to make the process of finding relevant conversations/users as quick and intuitive as possible.

If you'd like to give it a shot, I'd be happy to give you an extended trial! I have a few case studies like this one on idea generation and this one on customer acquisition, and am in the process of collecting more.

Reddit is such a valuable tool for nearly all businesses. You see honest discussions, people talking about what they want, what they hate, and what solutions they're using. It is a veritable treasure trove for people wanting to learn about an audience.

This looks like a pretty cool tool. Simple and easy to use in my first tests. Just curious, if Reddit goes public, would it change this product at all? Not sure why it would but wondering if Reddit's reporting requirements would require some changes and privacy updates.

Thank you! Very well put on the benefits of Reddit, I might use your words on my copy if you don't mind :)

Glad you had a good experience with your first tests. Regarding Reddit IPO, there's always a risk that they lock down their data or start charging for it, but from everything I've heard they say that they intend to only increase the options for developers to build on top of their platform.

Agreed! For research it is pretty invaluable. Redditors are very honest with their feedback and I've found they are also very chatty when you can engage with them.

It's also a good place to find initial beta customers. I've been able to land many good ones via PM.

Tried registering it - was expecting a magic link registration, but sadly it was just an upfront email confirmation with password after confirming (not to mention that the CTO "Explore your audience" is not an obvious "login" button)

Did a few searches around and I am still not certain how is it better over searching reddit with google - "site:reddit.com search_term" (yes, the UI looks slick, but is that it?)

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry if you thought the signup flow was misleading. Call me old fashioned but I still prefer users to set a password over always requiring a magic link.

Here are some of the benefits over searching google:

      • instant results for posts (as opposed to just the ones indexed by google)
      • ability to have targeted searches in relevant subreddits, as opposed to all reddit
      • categorized conversations (pain points, solution requests, etc)
      • ability to track keywords related to your business
