Your go-to transactional email service?
I'm looking for a nice easy templated transactional email service to send automated emails originating from my SaaS app.
I've started using MailerLite for marketing emails, which I'm enjoying but their API seems a little limited for creating transactional emails.
I've used SendWithUs in the past for transactional emails specifically - is there an better alternative out there for more dev focused experience?

I personally use Mailgun & Sendgrid
We actually end transaction emails directly from our server. Aws mail feature is also very popular.
I am curious to what business benefits one would get by using a transaction email service versus just using your SMTP server (zero cost)

Amazon SES - far more cost effective than the alternatives (many of which just seem to use AWS under the hood anyway!).
I use SendGrid. Very happy with the result.
Honestly, tried a few and found mailgun has been the best overall to work with. It's been easy to work with and support is awesome.
