Your golden idea is not necessarily a good business. Here is the proof!

Do you remember that company that produces AI which plays the old Atari games better than humans? The same company that was bought by Google (now Alphabet) for no less than $500 million dollars? Yup, I'm taking about DeepMind.

It's a company ran by smart people. And they are coming up with brilliant ideas. The mere fact, that their AI beats every human at very complex tasks, proves the point: The ideas driving this company are unprecedented.

As a business, DeepMind has also archived something quite extraordinary: Exponential growth in losses. And we are talking huge loses. In 2016: $154 million, in 2017: $341 million and in 2018: $570 million [1, 2].

So ask yourself following: Do you have evidence that your golden egg indeed can be sold?
