Your opinion on our bootstrapped web-scraping saas

Hey everyone,

I just decided to write my first post. I am currently working on my first saas with a friend of mine. We both a developers and we love to build products.

We now have been working on our first saas for about over 1.5 years. We both believe that automation and collecting data is a great way to generate value for different businesses. So we decided to create a webscraping saas.

First we just wanted to provide an api for developers but we allready understood that giving non technical users the ability to do the same makes a lot more sense.

Our main focus will be scraping data in a highly scalable enviroment and giving the user the possibility to automate his scraping tasks.
Additional we will provide many browsers in different versions. Surely we to offer things like scheduling, proxy and ip rotatin, taking screenshots or interacting after the page loaded and rendered fully (even js).

So what do you think about our idea? Any tips from indiehackers who allready did build a product like that?

We would love to connect with other indiehackers to have a exchange and also like to give back to the community by providing our story and experiences!

I think it's great idea, I had it in mind also and I built a lot of scrappers for myself.

I don't know what the situation in the market of scrappers but you should release your product already, working 1.5 years on product without releasing is too much :)

Thanks for your opinion! Yeah that actually is a lot. Not want to dramatize but working fulltime and building a product can sometimes be vary hard.

But the main reason was creating the infrastructure for the Scraper. We wanted to build a plattform for us, to create many other products in less time that perform great. But you are right 1.5 years is a lot of time :D
