One of the biggest gains in my productivity didn’t come from a new AI agent or better time-boxing.
It came from limiting my social media consumption.
I’ve never considered myself a heavy social media user, but it’s surprisingly easy to fall into the trap: scrolling too long, checking feeds, or reviewing every newsletter in my inbox. Occasionally there’s a valuable insight, but most of it isn’t relevant, and it quietly drains focus.
At some point I notice how much mental friction it creates. I delete TikTok, unsubscribe from a bunch of mailing lists, feel great for a while… and then somehow slip back into the same cycle.
So I’m building a tool to solve this problem, one that filters the noise and delivers only what actually matters to you.
You tell it about yourself and what you want to know about. Then forward it your newsletters, tell it what subreddits you want to follow, who's tweets on X you don't want to miss and it sends you a daily digest.
If you face the same problem, I would love to hear your feedback: https://getskibble.com
