Your "successful" A/B tests are secretly bleeding you cash. Here is the brutal math.

Most indie hackers and PMs celebrate when a new feature or A/B test increases conversion by 10%. But almost nobody asks the uncomfortable question:

"Did that 10% lift actually cover the cost of the 2-week sprint it took to build it?"

Usually, the answer is no. In the AI era, we are shipping features 10x faster, but we are also leaking capital 10x faster because we only look at "Growth metrics" and ignore the "Annualized P&L."

Let's say a typical 2-week sprint costs you $15,000 (your time is not free). If your product is $50 with an 80% margin, you don't just need a "win." You actually need a +37.5% CVR lift just to break even on that specific feature. Anything less, and you are scaling a net loss.

I got tired of this "velocity without financial context" trap, so I built PRIZM—a logic engine that translates your growth metrics into a 12-month Financial Autopsy.

The Humbling Pivot (Thanks to IH)
I was sharing an early version of PRIZM in the comments here, and an IH member gave me absolute gold feedback. He told me my UX was fundamentally flawed.

Asking users to input their numbers first felt like a chore. He said: "Show the gap first. Show me 'you need X% lift to break even' before asking me to enter anything. First impression shapes trust."

He was 100% right. I completely scrapped the initial "empty calculator" state. Now, when you land on PRIZM, it hits you immediately at zero-clicks with a default "Typical Sprint Scenario" to show you exactly how much your last sprint might be costing you.

I’d love for this community to check out the new "Aha-moment" UX.

Plug in your real numbers. I genuinely want to know: Does seeing the "Break-Even Gap" upfront change how you think about planning your next sprint?

Roast my math, roast the UX. I'm here to learn.

Most people celebrate a 'win' without checking the bank account. Your math on the 'Break-Even Gap' is a huge wake-up call for builders.

Since you're helping founders find the truth in their numbers, you should bring PRIZM into the Validation Arena (tokyolore.com).

It’s a 30-day sprint where founders compete to get the most real traction.
The prize pool just opened at $0 right now, so you can start at the top of the board.
