#Yuktix #GreenSense new Deployment - Water saving by 40% in a Agriculture field ( using Yuktix IoT platform ).

Our recent deployment in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, India turning an agriculture farm into a #digital #agri farm. We used our low powered. #WSN expertise ( wireless sensor network ) in a 30 acre field to capture

1. Micro-weather data
2. Soil VWC ( Volumetric Water Content ) along with some other micro-nutrients.
3. Water used for the irrigation.

Among these multiple devices, 2 #GreenSense devices were deployed to measure the soil VWC ( Volumetric water content ) in real time along with Temperature in humidity in two patches of land ( each of 5 acre size ). Data collected by these sensor was transferred wirelessly to Yuktix Solar powered #gateway.

The collected data was used to automate the irrigation. Based on the configuration uploaded on the gateway and based upon the soil moisture, the #gateway automated the irrigation by controlling the pump and 12V solenoid valve.

With automatic irrigation in place, the farm owner was able to save 40% of water utilised in irrigation.
