Zero new listings today: what day two actually feels like

Yesterday I launched a bidding leaderboard into the middle of a massive wave where dozens of people are shipping the exact same concept, launchon.it.

Today the traffic wave slowed down and there are literally zero new listings on the board.

When you look at build-in-public posts, everyone skips this part. They go from launch day straight to compounding growth. They never talk about what happens when you wake up on day two and the site is totally quiet.

Here is what I am dealing with right now:

A bidding board is a two sided marketplace. If nobody is bidding, it just looks like an empty room. Getting that baseline liquidity moving is way harder than writing the code for it.

Every instinct tells you to start tweaking copy or changing colors. But the product is not broken. The distribution just stopped for a second.

It is quiet. Slightly awkward, but completely normal.

If you have ever shipped an app right into a crowded trend wave, how long did it take before the silence broke and people actually started using it?
