Ziwei AI — Bringing Ancient Chinese Metaphysics into the AI Era

I’m the creator of Ziwei AI (https://ziweiai.com.cn), an intelligent interpretation tool for Ziwei Dou Shu — an ancient Chinese system of astrology and fate analysis that has guided people for centuries.

While most AI applications today focus on productivity or entertainment, Ziwei AI explores how large language models can interpret human destiny systems in a logical, explainable, and accessible way. It’s an experiment in bridging ancient human knowledge frameworks with modern reasoning AI.

How it works

  • Users input their birth data (date, time, and place).

  • Ziwei AI calculates their Ziwei Dou Shu chart (a map of 12 life palaces and 100+ stars).

  • An AI model interprets the chart in natural language — explaining personality, career, relationships, and life tendencies.

  • The output is written in plain, modern language so that anyone (even without prior metaphysics background) can understand.

Why it matters

Traditional astrology and metaphysics are symbol systems — early attempts by humans to encode probabilities and tendencies of life.

By combining AI reasoning with structured symbolic systems, we’re exploring a frontier question:

“Can AI translate non-scientific human belief systems into rational, interpretable insights?”

This has broader implications for:

  • Cultural preservation and digitization of traditional knowledge.

  • Building explainable AI narratives from symbolic systems.

  • Creating cross-cultural human-AI interfaces that respect diverse worldviews.

Features

  • Multilingual (Chinese, English, Japanese)

  • Fast chart computation (within seconds)

  • Interpretable narrative engine with dynamic contextual reasoning

  • Designed for both enthusiasts and researchers in human–AI cultural interaction

Try it

You can try it at: https://ziweiai.com.cn

There’s a free mode for basic chart reading, and a professional interpretation for deeper analysis.

Open questions

  • How should AI deal with belief systems that are non-scientific but culturally valuable?

  • Could this approach be extended to other symbolic frameworks — e.g. Tarot, I Ching, or Western astrology — under a unified interpretive model?

  • What kind of reasoning architecture is best suited for metaphysical symbolic systems?

Happy to hear thoughts from the HN community — especially around AI interpretability, cultural reasoning, and bridging symbolic logic with modern models.

Thanks for reading!
