12CE Proxy Lens
IP reputation, proxy quality and browser leak checks
One result in 12CE showed IPQS at 0, AbuseIPDB at 0, and IP2Location at 3. The Scamalytics lookup returned HTTP 403 instead of a score.
That last result needed a different kind of fix. Replacing the proxy would not tell us why the lookup was refused. Treating the missing score as zero would hide the problem.
The useful next step was to retry that lookup, not rerun every check. A 403 tells us the request was refused; it does not, by itself, tell us the IP is risky or why the provider refused it.
I maintain 12CE Proxy Lens. This is the distinction I want the tool to make clear: what we learned about the connection, and what we failed to measure. A blank score can be frustrating, but a reassuring number with no evidence is worse.

The distinction is important, but the real test is user behavior. Have users changed how they act on an IP when a lookup fails instead of returning a score?
