In the time between this update and the last, I've published three issues. Most of my subscribers came in at the first one, and most of them were friends and family.

Since then, I've had a number of people every issue DM'ing me and telling me they enjoy the content. Which is really more than I could ask for, really. Writing up these newsletters isn't a chore in the least, and I genuinely love consolidating whatever the hell it is I've taken note of over the past few days.

The past three issues have brought in only about 10 subscribers or so combined. Understandably, since I have no social media strategy whatsoever. I'm seeing a few names on the subscriber list that I don't recognise, which is a good sign.

I guess the next step is to really figure out a communications strategy that works. 134wpm is tied to me, personally, and I don't want to create separate accounts or 'brands', sorta, for it.

Sat down for half an hour and just picked things from my brain that I'd absorbed and taken note of over the past few days.

I'm still figuring out what's the perfect size of the content: how to deliver just enough, but not too much. Making sure that people are curious enough to click on the links that are available, but also ensuring that the content that's there isn't completely uninformative.

Still! I've pushed it on my personal social media accounts and my group chats. I don't have a marketing/communications strategy or anything, but I'm glad to have at least something tangible out there.

Ran through ideas and keywords again and again before finally figuring out what shape 134wpm was supposed to take.

A little primer: all this started because I kept spamming my friends with links to stuff that I found cool. I decided to move this enthusiasm to another platform, one where I could 1) share it with more people and 2) stop flooding all my group chats.

In a nutshell, 134wpm covers culture, current affairs, and cool stuff in a way that's entertaining and digestible.

This means snippets of whatever's been interesting, written in a way that's engaging and funny (at least, I like to think so), and with my own personality thrown into the mix.

Think "friend that sends you cool stuff".
