April 24, 2023 New pricing plans: Freemium, Pro, Advanced

2Quiet2Market.com, the habit building system for people who don't like marketing, now has new pricing plans:

The Free plan allows all users to have 1 project with 2 boards for free, as well as the right to participate in other people's projects as a read-only viewer.

The Pro plan allows unlimited projects and boards. Users can participate as editors (with change rights) in other people's projects. And a real goodie: 2Quiet2Market can automatically convert marketing experiments into to-do lists in Todoist.com.

The Advanced plan adds an AI writing assistant to spice up your copy, so it becomes interesting and more engaging and gets you more customers.

April 24, 2023 $30 MRR and features to get feedback on your marketing

Life is good. MRR has increased to $30, and I added interesting new features to 2Quiet2Market.com, the habit building system for people who don't like marketing.

Solopreneurs can now share the marketing models they create in 2Quiet2Market, with their friends, with their social networks, whomever they want to invite. The beauty about this is: Marketing is much more fun with more than one person, and much more successful with feedback from other people.

So click "•••Share" on a project or a board and send the invitation link to another user. BOOM, they become able to view or even edit what you shared with them (if you allow).

March 13, 2023 Now 5 customers with $25 MRR, and an AI integrated into the system

Okay, slow but steady, up and to the right. In the meantime, more indies have joined 2Quiet2Market.com, the habit building system for people who don't like marketing.

In the meantime, I have added an AI that spices up the marketing copy you write in 2Quiet2Market. It's so good not to have to worry about how to write engaging copy.

Now, I'm adding the option for you to share your marketing model with a friend and ask for advice on it. You can also invite other people and form a team to work on the same marketing model. This will be good for small startups who already have a team.

Exciting times ahead. It feels like I should raise the price now.

Hey Matthias, great idea! Hope you get more interest around it! Can I ask a related question? How long / how difficult it was to integrate AI into an existing product? I'm thinking of the same but not sure how much time I'm about to sink. Thanks and again - good luck!!!

Depends on what you're going to do. I added GPT to spice up the marketing copy that people write with my SaaS. Took me 2 weeks or so until everything worked as expected.

        Got it. Thanks Matthias!

Sounds great. Tried to sign up, but when I click “Goto stripe billing” in settings, nothing happens

That's right. During your free trial, I don't tell Stripe about you, so there is nothing to see there. Once the trial period will be over and you're asked to pay, then it will work.

        Oh okay cool. Thanks :)

January 6, 2023 The marketing habit for Indie Hackers

The position that I gave to 2Quiet2Market a few days ago is "a habit forming app".

The solopreneur's marketing habit that I want people to help with consists of 4 big areas:

  • Strategy
  • Positioning
  • Messaging
  • Experimentation

I formed the acronym SPME for it. (No, you're not allowed to pronounce it as "spammy"! 😬)

The article that I wrote about this habit was shared on Indie Hackers and that's why I decided to put the 2Quiet2Market product profile up here, too.

Read the original blog post about the marketing habit here, it's exactly what I want to make as easy as possible with my new product: https://2quiet2market.com/blog/spme-marketing-habit-for-solopreneurs-who-have-other-things-to-do-besides-marketing/

January 1, 2023 Finally nailed the product category

Believe it or not, it took me 4 months from the beginning of the project to really understand what it is that I'm building.

Customers like to put products into categories, to better understand what a product does and what value it has to offer. So I needed to come up with a category.

Suddenly, it dawned on me: 2Quiet2Market is a habit building app; it helps introverted solopreneurs to build a healthy and sustainable marketing habit.

November 19, 2022 The first 2 paying customers

Two people ended their free trial converting to a paid subscription. What a joy! 😄

The first 20 people who sign up can lock in a very special innovator's rate ($5/mo) for the entire lifetime of their subscription. Afterwards, the price will go up to $15.

Okay, so I am officially at $10 MRR now.

October 30, 2022 Released the first MVP

End of October, first week of November 2022 was the time when 2Quiet2Market saw the light of the internet. I deployed it on AWS and told people about it.

My first marketing channel was Twitter. I'm quite active on it, and I know many solopreneurs who are active there, too, so it was my obvious first choice.

October 3, 2022 100 people on the waitlist

In week 1, I had created a landing page on Carrd and connected it to an email list on ConvertKit. People started signing up for it, and now, at the beginning of October, I had already 100 people on my list, following my adventure.

September 9, 2022 How I came up with the idea

A marketing SaaS for introverted solopreneurs who prefer building over marketing.

How do you come up with such an idea?

Well, none of my previous startups has had significant growth and I knew that this was due to my reluctance to market them properly.

This time, it was different. When I buried my latest thing, I decided: "I want to tackle this marketing beast head-on. Let's do it."

After a quick retrospective, I discovered that the 4 reasons why my marketing sucked:

  • The switch between building and marketing was a pain for me, so I kept building and procrastinated on marketing.
  • I didn't have my shit together, i.e. my marketing material was scattered across various places.
  • Marketing looked too complex to me. Too many moving parts, too little cause-and-effect relationships.
  • Most importantly: I lacked consistency with my marketing. I didn't show up often enough and regularly enough.

So I set out to solve these problems with a special software, designed for introverts like me. It allows you to...

  • break down your positioning into simple parts
  • same thing for your messaging
  • design marketing experiments to tell a story to a particular audience
  • construct a sustainable marketing habit from those building blocks

Want to know more? I created a video that shows what my first prototype looked like after a week. And I shared what problems I set out to solve. Watch the video here.
