8tickers
A free fundamental screener for value investors
Me and my team got tired of the choice every retail investor faces: pay $30/mo for a terminal, wrestle with ad-cluttered finance sites, or rebuild the same 50-tab spreadsheet every weekend - just to screen stocks by fundamentals. So I built the tool I actually wanted.
8tickers is a free screener for spotting undervalued public companies. You can filter 10,000+ stocks and crypto by 120+ fundamental metrics - P/E, margins, ROE, growth, debt coverage, dividend yield, and by simple aggregated stock classifiers: value, growth, momentum.
A screener alone wasn't enough, so we added the context you normally study when picking stocks:
Earnings calendar with estimates vs. actuals and beat/miss coloring
Insider transactions - who's buying and selling, and how much
Economic calendar for the macro backdrop
Peer comparison and analyst recommendations
Per-ticker fundamentals, price history and valuation
Stack: React Router (SSR) frontend, NestJS + Postgres API, TypeScript throughout. Data is synced on crons from numerous market-data sources.
Where I'm at: it's live and free, but we are a small team and only just starting on distribution.
We'd love feedback from this community:
What features you would like to see?
Would you like to have an AI assistant who remembers all your research history?
Live at 8tickers.com. Thanks for taking a look.
About
8tickers exists to put serious fundamental research back within reach of ordinary investors. The bet is simple: give people clean data and honest filters, and they can find the value the market overlooked

"Value investors" is a specific niche — but are you targeting retail investors who want Buffett-style picks, or professional analysts who want deep fundamentals? The retail investor wants simplicity and "buy this." The analyst wants raw data and custom filters. Same screener, two different depths and two different prices.
The interesting tension is moving beyond a stock screener into a complete research workflow.
What would convince you that investors need a new research platform, rather than simply using existing screeners and adding their own process on top?
On the AI side, I’d probably get more value from it remembering what I was researching and surfacing what’s changed since I last looked at a company than using it as another chatbot. Have you thought about taking it in that direction?
