AB Rocket
Developer-friendly Conversion Platform
I've recently launched my prelaunch LP and I was surprised when I've opened my mailchimp account this morning – 20 subs for my waitlist for abrocket.io!
Super awesome news for me, because I got a lot of criticism that my idea will not work as there are many competitor out there. This motivates me to keep on going. :)
It's still a lot of work to do, but I decided to launch a prelaunch LP for my AB Testing Software AB Rocket.
Why? I realised I should start promoting my product as early as possible for many reasons. The most important one is, I want to see if people are interested in my product and if I am able to communicate the benefits properly.
As some who works in marketing as a developer, I know selling and marketing is the tough part of the journey – not coding.

It was quite harder to finish the MVP for AB Rocket but I did it! I was facing more challenges than I would expect at the beginning. In order to developing a AB Testing tool I hat to understand how developing two completely different products.
-
Backend
The backend is the heart of my tool. This is where you can setup your AB Test and create tracking goals and check the results. -
Analytics / OnSite Tracking / Cloud infrastructure
The second part was quite harder to accomplish. Here is where the magic happens.
This particular part of the software is where the magic happens. Everything you setup in the backend needs to be delivered to the website and the client (website user). Furthermore data have to find its way back to the backend / analytics endpoint.
In order to achieve this, I was working on my MVP for about 2 Months every evening (I am still employed as a full-time developer) and on the weekends.
I was able to implement successfully the following features:
- Authentication (Login / Signup)
- Basic database model for storing experiments + code
- Basic experiments overview
- Simple Code editor for editing code (which will be exposed to the website visitor)
- super simple analytics --> count +1 when user visited a page
For me this was a huge milestone, because I knew from here on I can achieve much more!

I've started AB Rocket to prove myself I am able to build a MVP for a AB-Testing Tool with the coding skills I've learned earlier this year. For this I took two courses, complete NodeJS course by Andrew Mead and a react course by Stephen Grider on Udemy.

I love AB testing and I love coding. Most of the tools out there are not affordable, hard to understand and bloated with unnecessary features. I am driven to change that!
