October 11, 2020 First paid user on our side line product

When we launched our paid service on Sustainable Productivity maillist https://acacess.substack.com/ on Oct 11th, we received the first paid user immediately.

This was so encouraging. We have been building the community for four months: nearly 900 users in our TG group, 800 users on our TG channel, and 400 users to our mail list, and this was the first paid user.

In addition, we are going to launch https://brnrlist.com on ProductHunt next week:)

Yeah, life is hard, but success starts from small. We will continue to work hard, to help our users.

August 31, 2020 Beta version released

After three months, we finally released the beta version of our product: https://brnrlist.com/beta

This product is based on the idea of Burner List mentioned in the book Make Time. The author of this book, Jake Knapp, uses this method to manage his daily tasks, balancing efficiency and pressure. For more about this method, you may check our brief intro here: https://faq.brnrlist.com/how-to-practice-burner-list-with-paper-and-pen

For the past three months, I didn't write a single line code, but delegate to our core dev Ryan. Instead, I have been focusing on content creations, because I learnt that marketing is an important part of entrepreneurship. Here are what I achieved in content creation:

  1. we created a blog in Chinese: https://blogcn.acacess.com
  2. we invited 24 people to share their time management skills and experience;
  3. we created more than a dozen of posts about productivity;
  4. we created a Telegram for Chinese readers, which has more than 700 users: https://t.me/tms_discuss;
  5. we created a Telegram channel, which has more than 500 subscribers: https://t.me/tms_ur_way;

Goal for the next stage:

  1. polish the product with the feedback from users;
  2. prepare contents in English;
  3. release the MVP to ProductHunt;

About

When we had an idea to reform the time management system (TMS), we asked two questions: Why don't we have a tool to suit our time management needs? Why do we have to follow the built-in methodology in those TMS?
