Accurator
Nostalgic Photo Gallery Cleaner
I made Accurator to help tame messy camera rolls by turning cleanup into a quick, nostalgic routine.
Just to say upfront: I know there are similar apps. I discovered that after building mine, which is, of course, kinda funny. I honestly didn’t check competitors — I just built what I wanted for myself. So no, I’m not “the first.” I plan to make Accurator the one that feels fast, minimal, and nice to use every day. Would love your feedback
What it does:
Surfaces random photos from any year so you can make fast keep/delete decisions
One tap to keep, or add to a delete list, then batch-delete in one go
A safety net: review the list, restore anything, and when you confirm, iOS sends items to Recently Deleted (as the system allows)
Privacy — No server, no signup, no cloud, it works locally, photos never leave the device
Why I built it: auto-cleaners catch blurs/duplicates, but they can’t know what you no longer need. I wanted something minimal and fast that still feels personal.
What I’m adding next:
Show file size per photo and the total space the delete list would free
Favorites screen to pin important shots and jump back to them
Maybe video support with a tiny inline player
Thanks for reading — happy to answer any technical or product questions, and I’d really appreciate your feedback on the UX, UI, performance, and overall feel—anything you’re up for sharing.
About
When I lost control over my photo gallery (11k photos), I realized that I would never understand it, and most of the photos I took a long time ago would never be seen again. And the idea came by itself.
