Aceworks
Make sales, manage your business and take payments on-the-go
In what seems like forever (more than 1 year working on this version), we are finally done with building a minimum viable product for Aceworks.
We have built for web and Android initially, with iOS to follow. Payments, quoting and invoicing functions are all working and the app has achieved high pentest standards.
There are so many more features we have in the pipeline. They will all come in time, as we learn more from customers.
To operate in the world of payments, we had two options:
- Develop our own payments infrastructure from scratch
- Partner with third-parties to process sensitive payment information
There was only one way forward. If we wanted to get to market quickly and launch an MVP we had to build strong partnerships.
That's exactly what we did, and after some time and negotiation, we had everything we need to integrate payments with our app in the most secure and efficient way.

Our mission was simple: Provide the tools businesses need to prosper.
We couldn't achieve this overnight, so we focussed on one key pain-point to start with. Payments.
We had already been working together as a team to develop a two-sided marketplace connecting service-based businesses with consumers.
Whilst this idea didn't get off the ground, we picked up where we left of and used it as a basis to develop an intelligent mPOS solution, available on mobile app and desktop.

Through the experience gained from owning and running a small business, as well as using a range of domestic and business services including cleaners, handymen, builders, electricians, car cleaners and personal trainers, we identified that many small business owners are not managing their business in the most productive way.
