Every Major Decision Deserves an Independent Audit
I believe that within the next decade, independent decision assurance will become a standard part of how organizations make strategic business decisions.
Legal review became standard.
Financial audits became standard.
Cybersecurity assessments became standard.
The next standard is ensuring the decision itself has been independently challenged before execution.
That's why I built Acumn.
What's one decision you wish had been challenged earlier?
About
Businesses rarely fail for lack of intelligence. They fail because important decisions are made with unchecked assumptions, weak evidence, and hidden blind spots. Acumn exists to change that.

I think the interesting shift is that we audit almost everything except the thinking that produces the decision. By the time execution shows a strategy was wrong, the cost has already been paid. If independent decision assurance becomes standard, it won't be because leaders want another review process—it'll be because the cheapest place to catch a bad decision is before it turns into months of execution.
That's a great way to frame it. Most organizations already audit outcomes, compliance, and execution. The gap is auditing the quality of strategic reasoning before resources are committed. That's the opportunity I'm exploring with this product. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.
That's exactly what I was getting at.
One implication of your reply stood out to me, but it's probably too much to unpack properly in a thread.
