Write, manage and run your next DnD campaign in one place.
After a month of building and iterating on the latest beta feedback we are getting ready to open up more beta access seats.
We've been able to gather more emails on our list as we build up anticipation for the next release. The funny thing is it's just another "launch" packaged up to build some anticipation and urgency for more user sign ups. It also gives us an opportunity to make special offers to our early users.
The first launch went well. Of all the users that signed up for the beta only one canceled before the trial was up and the others either paid for the year or are on a monthly plan.
Fun to see our MRR growing with new users coming in and staying.
I'm happy to report that our first beta user that signed up for the monthly plan didn't cancel!
Now we are waiting to see what September looks like. The other 6 users that signed up took a longer trial and paid yearly. Assuming they don't churn in September we'll collect $600!
Myself and my co founders have been actively onboarding, gathering feedback and fixing bugs as they come into our Discord server.

We emailed our small list of about 37 people, at the time, and from that we had 10 people sign up and 3 people pay for product! A few days later we are sitting at about 31 users and 4 paying subscriptions.
We've had 5 or so users join our private discord to ask some questions about the product, pricing and such. And a few have gotten on calls with myself and my co-founder to provide thoughts/feedback and suggestions!
It was a super fun launch and great that the folks in discord are generally happy with what they have and excited about what we are building and where we are heading.

We gave the product to our current DM, who we are building the tool for initially, and let him start playing with it.
He was more than willing to transfer all of his previous work from Notion into our app and begin building out our new campaign in our tool.
It wasn't without roadblocks, bugs and ux issues that we eventually made it to running our first session on AdventurePlane.
Getting his feedback and helping us iterate on the product has been monumental in prep for our Beta release, which currently is scheduled for late April. We've been collecting emails for a few months now after we spun up a wordpress site to track updates and do some marketing.

Lots of early morning into getting V1 ready for my co-founder as proof of concept. Working a full time job, being a brand new parent and of course playing D&D not a lot of extra time to build.
However after a few months of grinding I was able to give my co-founder something he could start playing with, building his campaign and ultimately see where we want to go next.
I spent the next month fixing bugs and making adjustments based on his feedback.

I purchased Chris Olivers Jumpstart Pro starter template and made my first commit.
Built with Ruby on Rails we began building the app without any real direction in terms of UI/UX.
My main goal and focus was to give my co-founder something functional to see if he could see value in it and actually do the thing we set out to do.

Looking back at a year of playing in our Dungeon Masters campaign, we realized we missed a lot of key story points and didn't feel as immersed as we could have.
We wanted to figure out how to bridge the gap of all the work the our DM was doing and surface that to ourselves and the other party members.
We looked at other tools that were similar but where complete overkill for what we needed.
So we set out to build our own tool for our dm to write his campaign and share his story with our party.
