AI Cash Lab Tools
37+ free browser-based tools for creators and freelancers.
I Built 37+ Free Browser-Based Tools While Building My Digital Product Business
A few months ago, I realized there was a problem I kept seeing over and over.
Creators and freelancers often need small, practical tools to solve simple problems: checking image sizes, formatting social posts, calculating freelance pricing, creating invoices, planning content, or validating digital product ideas.
Most solutions were either hidden behind subscriptions, overloaded with features, or required learning complicated software.
So I started building AI Cash Lab Tools — a collection of simple, free browser-based utilities that solve these small workflow problems instantly.
Today, the platform has grown to 37+ free tools for creators, freelancers, and digital business owners.
But the interesting part is the bigger strategy.
The free tools are the top of the ecosystem. They help people solve immediate problems, while also introducing them to larger operating systems I’ve built on Gumroad for freelancers and creators, including proposal generators, client management systems, content planning systems, launch planners, analytics dashboards, and more.
I'm still very early in the journey.
I've been focusing heavily on:
Building new tools
Improving SEO and getting indexed
Submitting to directories
Learning distribution without paid ads
My goal is to see whether a small solo creator can build a sustainable business by combining free SEO utilities with premium digital products.
I’d love feedback from other Indie Hackers:
Have you used free tools as a growth channel?
Which distribution channels worked best for your early product?
What would you focus on next if you were in my position?

Hey, just wanted to say — your product looks really impressive. It feels useful, clean, and like something that can actually help people solve a real problem.
I’m building Everyday Tiny Tools — a marketplace for small useful web tools, mini apps, calculators, generators, AI tools, productivity helpers, and simple utilities.
The idea is to give independent creators a real place to showcase their tools, get discovered, and maybe even earn from them.
If you’ve built something small and useful, I’d love to invite you to list it here: EverydayTinyTools.com
Tools can be listed as free, or as a simple one-time purchase through the platform.
And if you have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime: nuchem@lightboltlab.com
Really like what you’re building — wishing you a lot of success with it.
The interesting part here isn't the 37 tools.
It's that you're effectively testing whether free utilities can act as a bridge into a broader product ecosystem.
I'd be curious to see which tools end up creating genuine buying intent versus just attracting traffic. Those aren't always the same thing.
