AI Essay

Hi everyone 👋

I’ve noticed that writing essays and reports breaks in two places:

1. getting from “idea” to a clear structure,

2. turning that structure into solid arguments instead of fluffy text.

Most AI tools I’ve seen are great at generating words, but not so great at helping you think.

So I’m building ai-essay.app — an AI essay copilot that:

• lets you build essays as blocks (intro → arguments → evidence → conclusion),

• supports common structures like TEEL / IMRaD / classic academic essay,

• helps you improve each paragraph separately (logic, flow, clarity, transitions),

• gently adjusts tone (simple vs academic) and nudges you toward better citations.

The idea is: you bring the ideas, ai-essay helps with structure and clarity — not “press button, get essay”.

Right now I’m testing the core UX and would love to hear:

• Do you outline first, or discover structure as you write?

• Would a block-based, “paragraph-by-paragraph” assistant actually help you, or just get in the way?

• If you’ve tried AI essay tools before, what made you stop using them?
