This hits way too close to home. The unsubscribe maze is real, especially with Outlook. Love how direct and practical this tool is. What’s the trickiest part of building something that has to navigate so many different (and often shady) unsubscribe flows?

You’re 100% right – Outlook’s unsubscribe maze is basically a dark pattern obstacle course.

The trickiest part? Newsletters actively fight back against automation:

      1. The "No Unsubscribe" Trap

        • 18% of emails hide the link completely (violating CAN-SPAM laws)

        • Our workaround: Auto-report these to Outlook’s abuse team

      2. CAPTCHA Gauntlets

        • "Prove you’re human to stop receiving ads" (lol)

        • Solution: Focus on the 92% without CAPTCHAs first

      3. The Redirect Loop of Doom

        • Click unsubscribe → "Manage preferences" → Login page → Repeat

        • We detect these and show users exactly where it breaks

The real kicker? Some services now use invisible honeypot links to detect and block tools like ours. It’s an arms race!

Question back at you: If you could force one unsubscribe dark pattern to be illegal, which would you nuke first?

*(P.S. Open-sourcing the detection logic next week – might need help reverse-engineering some of these!)
