Ai Shirtz

As I said in my previous post, I've quit coming up with a huge and innovative product idea and decided to dedicate myself to a simple side hustle, Ai Shirtz. The plan was to develop it quickly and launch it to start collecting feedback, but I failed to stick to an MVP.

When creating an app, especially if it is your first one, the general advice is to make it to the market as fast as possible. This way you can validate the idea and learn about the demand you may have.

But after building the UI and starting to play with the tool, I got so excited with the solution that I've put extra effort into making it more reliable and into automating some stuff like theme-page generation.

In the end, I was pretty satisfied with the result, but it delayed the launch in almost 4 weeks. I hope it can go as a warning for everyone working on a side project: just launch it!

As a software engineer, creating my own product was always something I wished for. But, as I think is the case for most of us, coming up with ideas was hard since simple projects didn't shine enough before my eyes.
Although I knew this mentality would keep me from starting and learning, it took me over 4 years to kickstart and launch my side hustle...

But this time, a few days after my 27-year-old birthday, I decided to quit looking for a huge and innovative idea and finally started to work on Ai Shirtz.

The idea was really simple, to create a static website that is fast, SEO-optimized, and that allows users to easily describe a shirt print following their imagination, and then use Generative AI to create a mockup of the shirts they wish to wear.

The website will feature dedicated pages for the most common shirt themes, improving even further the output and making it easier for users to build their designs.

And that's it, I hope this journey will be fun and will help me to learn more about product engineering and marketing. Feel free to reach out and talk about our products!
