AI Video Narrator
Paste a script → Get narrated Shorts in 60s.
I Used Grok to generate clips for me and Tumee to generate some music for me, and this is the result after AI Video Narrator put all together
Hey IH,
Exactly one week ago (Dec 9) I launched AI Video Narrator on Product Hunt — a simple tool that turns any script into a fully narrated + captioned Short/Reel in under a minute using Gemini voices and royalty-free stock footage from Pexels/Pixabay/Unsplash. One-time $45 lifetime deal on Gumroad.
AI Video Narrator 2.0 was launched with the ability to upload you own video clips you generate using AI (IE.grok)
AI Video Narrator 2.5 was launched with the added ability to upload an mp3 so you can use it as background music, there is a volume slider to increase and decrease the background music volume.
Real Vercel Analytics numbers (last 7 days, Dec 7–14):
113 unique visitors
243 page views
74% bounce rate (was 88% on launch day — slowly coming down)
Traffic sources (top 5):
vercel.com – 10
producthunt.com – 8
indiehackers.com – 5
reddit frontpage – 3
other small bits
Revenue so far: Nothing yet
The tool is deliberately “good enough to post today” rather than cinema-quality — the whole point is speed and zero friction for indie creators who just need a finished Reel fast.
What I’ve learned this week:
People who actually click into the generator and paste a script tend to stick around 4–6 minutes
Still fighting the “yet another AI video tool” first impression — working on clearer messaging

Thanks for the support so far — shipping solo from South Africa.

Ai video narrator is live, now you can upload your own media, write your script and let AI do the narration in the voice you chose.
Each clip you upload is a scene, to tel AI that it must pause the narration and wait for the next clip to continue the narration use --- at the end of scene one narration

Hey IH,
In exactly 5 hours (12:01 AM PST / 9 AM South Africa time) I’m hitting the big red button on Product Hunt.
AI Video Narrator → Paste script → narrated + captioned Short in ~60 seconds → No watermark · No subscription · $45 lifetime (first 100 keys only)
If you’re grinding faceless channels or just hate editing, your upvote tomorrow would mean the world.
Here’s the link (goes live in 5 hours): https://www.producthunt.com/products/ai-video-narrator?launch=ai-video-narrator
Even one upvote means the world.
Let’s make December 9 the day a broke South African dev finally gets to eat something other than instant noodles 😂
Thank you — Kimbo

AI Video Narrator.
Here’s what it does in 60 seconds:
You paste any script or idea (“Explain why cats are evil in a funny way”)
Pick a voice, orientation (optional upload music to use as background music)
In the Main Visual Subject field you can choose the main subject of your video for the AI to search for, you can separate the theme by a coma (running dog, beach) In the Negative Prompts field, it works exactly the same, but it is subjects it will exclude from the search.
Choose a voice.
Hit generate → AI will get royalty free photos, from Pexels, Pixabay and Unsplash, once the photos appear beneath the preview window, if you hover over them you get a refresh icon, if you click on that AI will get a new photo for you
Get a fully narrated, captioned, ready-to-post Short/Reel/TikTok
You can switch the subtitles of so there is no subtitles or you can leave them on
No watermark. No monthly fee. No “export failed because you hit your limit” nonsense.
About
AI Video Narrator exists because I couldn’t afford $29+/mo tools. I built it so no creator ever has to choose between rent and posting their first Short. $45 lifetime — done.
